Obituary

Joseph D. Parmelee, 24, of Portland, was born on May 30, 1997 in Farmington and passed away unexpectedly on Sunday December 12, 2021.

He was currently working as an electrician for the Local 90. He was a former resident of Haddam and attended Haddam Killingworth High School where he played football for 3 years. Growing up, he was an active member of the Boy Scouts Troop 44 for many years. After high school, Joseph joined the Marines and served four years as an Antitank Missile Gunner with the 3 rd Battalion 6 th Marines, India Company Weapons Section, which was a childhood dream.

He was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend. He cherished time spent with friends and family, particularly his niece and nephews: Kayla, Tucker, Wyatt, Elliott and Austin.

A lighthearted man, he had a loving nature with the greatest sense of humor. He was the first one to make you laugh, especially with his eclectic sense of style. His passions included working on his beloved vehicles and Japanese made truck. He would also never miss the chance to check out a new local brewery. Joey loved making memories with his friends and family.
