Joanne M. (Benedetto) Lenda, 78, of Venice, FL, formerly of Portland, CT and Narragansett, RI, wife of Benjamin Lenda, died Friday November 5, 2021 at Hartford Hospital.

She was born in Meriden, CT, the daughter of the late James and Julia (Catrone) Benedetto.  Prior to her retirement, Joanne was Worker's Compensation Administrator with the State of CT.  She enjoyed gardening, traveling, bird watching, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Lisa Russell of San Antonio, TX; son, Arnold L. White, Jr. of Encinitas, CA; step children, Brian Lenda of Harwich, MA, Ann Lenda of Meriden, CT, Doug Lenda of Millersville, PA, David Lenda of Missoula, MT, and Gregory Lenda of Ivoryton, CT sister, Rosalie Mierzejewski of Meriden; eight grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandchild,

A Memorial Mass will be held Monday (Nov. 15 ^th ) at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Star of the Sea, Point Judith Rd. Narragansett, RI.  Burial will be at the convenience of her family at Calvary Cemetery, Middletown, CT.  There are no calling hours.
