Yvette T. (Perigny) Gionfriddo, 78, of Meriden, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, with her loving and devoted husband of 57 years, Salvatore, by her side.

Yvette was born in Hartford, Connecticut, on September 30, 1947. She was a graduate of Middletown High School, Class of 1965.

Throughout her life, Yvette worked at several jobs, ending with her retirement from Middlesex Hospital in 2014.

Yvette was predeceased by her parents, Harvey and Jeannette Perigny; her brothers, Richard (Judy) Perigny, Roger Perigny, and Harvey “Bo” Perigny; and her grandson, Brandon Lass.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Salvatore “Sal” Gionfriddo; her sister, Marie (Fred) Kesten; her three children, Tammy (Jim) Lass, Elizabeth (Jay) Neer, and Michael (Cynthia) Gionfriddo; her grandchildren, Tyler (Stacey) Stoutamyer, Samuel (Jessica) Stoutamyer, Christina (Michael) Alexander, Michael Gionfriddo Jr., and Paige Gionfriddo; and her great-grandson, Aiden Alexander. She also leaves behind countless extended family members and friends whose lives were made richer by knowing her.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Middletown, Connecticut.  Burial will be follow at the Connecticut State Veterans' Cemetery.  A remembrance of life celebration will follow the funeral, with the time and location to be announced.
