Willis E. Collins, 73 of Durham, beloved husband of Lynda (Robison) Collins and father of Jillian (Collins) Wiley, died suddenly at his home, on December 25, 2025.

Willis was born in Warwick, RI, son of the late, Willis E. Collins, Sr. and Mildred (Burtt) Collins. Prior to his retirement, Willis was employed as a welder fabricator and equipment operator for Perma Treat Corporation.

Willis loved being with his family and had a special bond with his grandson Daniel and son-in-law Paul. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Willis enjoyed camping, tending to his outstanding vegetable garden,NASCAR racing, woodworking, and above all cooking. He loved to cook for others and took great pride in watching them rave over his impressive culinary skills. This past summer he achieved his dream of having a beautiful camper on a seasonal site at his favorite campground in Vermont. Willis was heard on multiple occasions stating how this year was the best of his life. Willis was happiest sitting outside with a campfire, family , friends and most of all the love of his life, Lynda.

Besides his wife, Willis is survived by a daughter, Jillian Wiley and her husband Paul of Durham, a grandson, Daniel Wiley of Durham, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Bradford Collins.
