Obituary

William J. Landers, age 65, of Belchertown, MA, formerly of Middletown, CT and Portland, CT, passed away with his family at his side on July 3, 2023.

He was born in Hartford, the youngest son of the late Daniel M. and Sarah Hendron Landers.  Bill is survived by his adoring children, Brittany (David Laureano) of East Hartford and Ryan Landers of Cromwell, loving companion Beth Jacobs Goff and his step-daughter Kirsten Goff both of Belchertown, MA.  He is also survived by his siblings, Sally (Larry) Silver of Rehoboth Beach, DE, Anne (Pete) Landers of West Chester, PA, Kathleen Landers of Hartford and Daniel (Cathy) Landers of Springfield, VA, as well as his extended family, Kathleen Dion of Middletown, Aimee (David) Romero of Shingle Springs, CA, Sue (Adam) Leighton of North Granby, Michael (Michele) Dion of East Haven, numerous nieces & nephews, his former wife AnnMarie LaMalfa Landers of Cromwell, and his longtime best friend Bill (Lynn) Merrick of Northford.  In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his cherished sister Grace Landers.

Bill was known for his sense of humor, or as his family would call it "ball breaking".  No one was safe at any holiday or gathering.  Laughter was a must when Bill was around.  He worked various jobs throughout his career in retail, but the one job he loved the most gave him the title of "DAD". His children were his world and he loved them with all his heart.   He will truly be missed by everyone.
