William "Bill" Leon Emond, 81, of Citrus Springs, FL, formerly of Ludlow, MA, died Wednesday, July 24, 2025, peacefully surrounded by his family.

He was born in Kingman, AZ on April 26, 1944, son of Leon and Marion (Harwood) Emond.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Kathleen (Siecienski). Additionally, survived by his sons, Andrew C. of Ludlow, MA, Robert P., Jeremiah P. and daughter, Madison M., all of Citrus Springs, FL; his brother, Richard of New London, CT; stepsister, Stana Lloyd of Eustis, FL; and his brother-in-law, Edmund Siecienski of Beverly Hills, FL. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Ann Bush of Meriden, CT.

He was a US Marine Vietnam veteran. Among other service awards, awarded two Purple Hearts. Bill was a life member of VFW Post 4864 and DAV.

Bill retired from the US Postal Bulk Mailing Center, Springfield, MA, prior was at the US Post Office, Middletown, CT. He also worked for the International Silver Company in Meriden, CT. He was very active in his community, serving as the Head of the Citizens on Patrol of Citrus Springs and also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 15624, 3rd Degree, and the President Emeritus of the Men's Guild of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Citrus Springs, FL.

Funeral services will be held at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown on Saturday (Aug. 16th) at 11 a.m. Burial, with military honors, will be at Calvary Cemetery.
