William G. Rogers, 94, of Cromwell, passed away on Saturday March 30, 2024 at Middlesex Hospital. He was born in Middletown, CT, son of the late William and Adella (Ferry) Rogers of Meriden.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Josephine. Together, they raised their five sons in a loving catholic home. Their marriage was full of surprises and memorable moments.

William is survived by his sons, William of Fountain Hills, AZ, Joseph and John of Cromwell, James of Tampa, FL and Edward of Palm Harbor, FL. He is also survived by his brother, Edward Rogers of Southington, CT, grandchildren, Daniel, Shannon, Kimberly, Jennifer, William, Julia Marie and Julia Lee.

William will be missed by his family and friends who loved his sense of humor.

He met the love of his life, Josephine of Palmer, MA after a whirlwind courtship. He worked in the construction industry where he built single family homes and later moved his family to Hollywood, FL where he built apartments including his prize "Hamilton Arms." Sunday afternoons were spent playing football in the backyard with his sons and watching the Miami Dolphins. William also enjoyed watching the New York Yankees, bowling, and playing golf. He liked movies especially with his favorite actors Burt Lancaster, James Cagney, and Fred Astaire. He spent time in the military and supported all others who served. He was a member of the ELKS. He will be remembered for his favorite motto and advice "It is all about memories."

William's family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Middlesex Hospital Hospice for their care and compassion.

Calling hours will be held Saturday (April 6th) from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown, followed by an 11 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Mary Church, Middletown.
