Velma M. Harvey, 83 of Middletown, formerly of Great Neck, New York, died peacefully at Wadsworth Glenn on Thursday, August 24, 2023.  Velma was born in Saint Mary, Jamaica.

Velma worked as a nurse at North Shore Hospital, Great Neck, NY for over 25 years.

Velma moved to Middletown to be with her son and enjoyed many happy years at St. Luke's Apartments.

She was a faithful member of St. Paul's Church, Great Neck, NY and became a member of Holy Trinity, Middletown and honorary member of Shiloh Baptist.

Along with her parents Charles Harvey and Rosetta (Williams) Robinson she is predeceased by her brother Lauren Harvey. Velma is survived by her beloved son Mario Graham and his wife Rochelle, grandchildren Alexandra and Anthony, brother Ewart George Harvey and a host of nieces and nephews,

A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 2nd at 10 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 346 Butternut Street, Middletown.  Friends may call prior to the service from 9 to 10 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church.  Burial will be held at Indian Hill Cemetery, Middletown.  To share memories or express condolences online, please visit www.biegafuneralhome.com.
