Todd Silva, born on April 6, 1965, in Providence, Rhode Island, passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2026, in Middletown. His sudden departure leaves a profound sense of loss among his family and all who knew him.

Todd was the beloved son of Frank Silva and Mary Helen Silva. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Tijae Pelletier, son-in-law Joe Pelletier, and two granddaughters who will greatly miss the countless treasures he found for them (usually wrapped in newspaper), camping trips, and family jam sessions. He is also survived by Dee Vingris, whose ten-plus years with him will be cherished.

Todd was the friend who traveled with you to Alaska, St. Thomas, Maine, or even just for a secret Harbor Freight run for an adventure. Everyone who knew him remembers Lucy, his beloved dog, who was his true partner in crime.

He will always be remembered as a genuinely kind and funny soul, known for coming up with the craziest ideas. For a friend in need, he would lend a helping hand without hesitation. If something needed fixing, he could MacGyver it until professional help arrived or fabricate a new solution himself. Todd loved his projects—everything from woodworking and fixing motorcycles and trucks to growing hot peppers for his homemade hot sauce and making stained glass. He always had something in the works.

Cooking was another passion; he enjoyed finding new recipes, most of which were successful, while a few may never be attempted again. You could often find him with a guitar, playing music or riding his motorcycle, which brought him great joy.

Professionally, Todd worked as a System Engineer in information technology. Those who worked alongside Todd admired his expertise and reliability.

There are countless stories and memories filled with shenanigans that would make you laugh so hard you’d actually cry. His family and friends will miss him dearly. For now, we hope he is riding with Art and Scott on a highway in the sky. Peace, love dove—as he would say!
