Thomas A. Spencer, 68, of Higganum, beloved husband of Kathleen (Caron) Spencer, died Thursday, June 25, 2026. He was born in Middletown, son of the late Richard and Helen (Cernan) Spencer. Thomas retired from Pilots Point Marina, where he was a marine mechanic. He enjoyed riding his Indian motorcycle, cooking for family and friends, and off-shore sailboat racing.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Kathleen, daughter, Mercedes Spencer of Maine, grandson, Elijah, brothers, Richard Spencer of, NC, Heath Spencer of TX, and a sister, Barbara Intelisano of TX.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 2nd at 10 a.m. at St. James Church in Higganum. Burial will follow at Burr District Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 1st, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown.
