Thomas Usher Reed, 82, of South Meriden, beloved husband of Barbara (Reneson) Reed, died Wednesday December 14, 2022 at Middlesex Hospital.  He was born in Middletown, son of the late Gladwin and Dorothea (McCabe) Reed.  Tom graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and resided in Middletown for 67 years. He worked with his parents at G.U. Reed Company, Inc. before starting Tom Reeds, a second-hand furniture and antiques store.

Tom is survived by his wife, Barbara, daughter, Anita Tetrault of Middletown, brother Robert Reed of Palm City, FL, sister, Sharol Stewart of Niantic, five grandchildren, Thomas Tetrault (Ashley) of Middlefield, Jeremy Tetrault (Jessica) of Tamarac, FL, Katie Tetrault of Middletown, Richard Reed (Makayla Taylor) of Meriden, Jamie Reed of Quincy, MA, and five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Brian U. Reed.
