Obituary

Theresa (Mrozowski) Bolton, 93, of Middlefield, beloved wife of Ronald Bolton, passed away on Wednesday January 28, 2026. She was born on January 29, 1932, in Middlefield, daughter of the late Antoni and Maryanna "Maria" (Tokarz) Mrozowski. Theresa, a life-long resident of Middlefield, graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School class of 1950.

She began working at Aetna Insurance shortly after, where she met her husband, Ronald. She also worked at Rogers Manufacturing and Bonded Technology for many years. Theresa had many interests and hobbies. Because she was a farmer's daughter, she was an avid gardener and grew much of their own food. She loved quilting and made everyone a beautiful patchwork quilt. She enjoyed basket weaving and leaded stained glass. Theresa also loved bird watching and feeding the hummingbirds who visited her kitchen window feeder. She loved seeing a variety of critters and wildlife in the yard. Everyone enjoyed her cooking and baking, and she was widely known for her perfect blueberry pies made from her own home-grown berries. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and will be remembered as a loyal UCONN Huskies fan and loved her team.

Theresa is survived by her husband, Ronald; sons, Greg Bolton and his wife Cherie, Darryl Bolton and his wife Frances; daughter, Rosemarie Querns and her husband Kerry; grandchildren, Sierra Querns, Aleah Querns, Davana Kinney, Samuel Bolton, and Allyson Bolton; her sister, Ann Satagaj; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Josephine Zieminski, Helen Slomkowski, Jennie Raczka, Elsie Dombrowik; and brothers, John, Peter, and Chester Mrozowski.
