Theodore G. Satagaj, 94, of Middlefield, beloved husband of Ann (Mrozowski) Satagaj, died peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Middlesex Hospital surrounded by family.

Ted was born in Middletown, son of the late John and Anna (Rys) Satagaj. Prior to his retirement, Ted was employed as a District Maintenance Manager for the State of Connecticut D.O.T.  He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. Ted was a communicant of Saint Colman Church in Middlefield.

Besides his wife, Ann, Ted is survived by his four children. Michael Satagaj, Margaret Neri (Joseph), Tom Satagaj (Jeanne) and Christine McAllen (Michael). Six grandsons, Joseph Neri Jr., William Neri (Brittany), Raymond Satagaj (Malvina), David Satagaj (Alexandra), Timothy McAllen, and Sean McAllen. Five granddaughters, Victoria Post (John), Kathryn Gerte (Thomas), Emily Whelan, Christina McAllen, and Anna Satagaj. Also three great grandchildren, Bjorn, Teddy, and Freja, as well as many nieces and nephews. Ted was predeceased by ten siblings. Sisters Rose Slisz, Mary Walicki, Anne Bartosiak, Frances Strukus, and Carol Restelli. Brothers Stanley Satagaj, Joseph Satagaj, Frank Satagaj, Edward Satagaj, and Bernard Satagaj.

A funeral liturgy will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 at 10a.m.  at Saint Colman Church, Middlefield.  Friends may call prior to the church service from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will be held at Middlefield Cemetery.  Remembrances may be made in the form desired by friends.
