Tatyana Kolenko, 78, of Middletown, formerly of Hamden, wife of Vyacheslav Kolenko, died Saturday August 17, 2024, at her home.

She was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, the daughter of the late Nikolay and Sarah (Garlitsky) Bartels.  She graduated in 1972 from Kyiv Linguistic University and taught in Kyiv until moving to the United States.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Victoria Kolenko and her husband Valeriy Los; son, Vladimir Kolenko and his wife, Irene Kogan; grandson, Joshua Kolenko; and nieces, Alexandra and Nickole Sergutin.
