Susan Nyman Ives, 76, passed away on Tuesday April 11, 2023. She is proceeded in death by her beloved husband David W. Ives. She was born on September 18, 1946 to the late John W. Nyman and Eleanor E. Burr of Higganum. Susan was very dedicated to her carrier as a social worker at Connecticut Valley Hospital (CVH). Over her 30 plus years, she worked in making the lives of others better by providing counselling and setting up programs for those affected by mental illness. On occasion, she referred to herself as a Swamp Yankee, meaning that she had the basic value of hard work and good ethics. Sue enjoyed fashionable clothing and home decorating as an expression of her creativity. She and her husband David, enjoyed traveling. Sue is survived by her nephew Brent Nyman of FL, and her adopted daughter Alea L. Wall of East Hampton. There will be a grave side service for Sue at 10 A.M.
