Obituary

Stephen M. Vitelli, 66, of Meriden, died Sunday May 17, 2026 at Hartford Hospital. He was born in New Haven, CT on January 30, 1960, to the late John L. Vitelli, Jr. and Dorothy (LaPanne) Vitelli.

Stephen was a graduate of Maloney High School and employed as a sign fabricator at Shiner Signs in Meriden, CT for many years.

He is survived by his two brothers, James A. Vitelli, and Robert P. Vitelli, of Meriden, CT; two sisters, Annemarie V. Fedor and husband Robert of Valrico, FL, Elizabeth V. Saks and husband Richard of Durham, CT; sister-in-law Deborah W. Kennedy of Wesley Chapel, FL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by a sister, Theresa A. Kennedy, and brothers, Frederic L. Kennedy and John L. Vitelli.

Steve had a huge heart and loved his friends and family. He will be remembered for his artistic abilities and quick wit. Steve's candidness and sincerity will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday (May 23rd) at 10:30 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown, CT.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Meriden.  Friends may call on Saturday at Biega Funeral Home from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
