Sharon Marie Savage of Deep River, Connecticut was born January 6th, 1947 in Middletown, Connecticut and passed away peacefully after a brief illness surrounded by family on October 13th, 2024.

After graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1966, Sharon went on to work at Genuine Parts (NAPA) for over 40 years where she met so many of her friends that she continued to play cards with regularly. She was an outstanding softball player and an amateur photographer. She was very passionate about sports and was an avid fan of UCONN Women's Basketball and the Boston Red Sox. Aside from sports, she was an animal lover. Sharon adored her dogs she had over the years, especially Misty, Murphy, and Mia.

Family was everything to Sharon, and there were few things she enjoyed more than being around them. She leaves behind her best friend and partner of 49 years, Gail Perzanoski, her brothers: James Savage Jr. and wife Susan of Portland and Shawn Carlson and wife Rose Marie of Middletown. In addition, she leaves behind five nieces and nephews and their spouses: Timothy and Erinn Savage, Saralyn Savage and Jason Ruimerman, Jessica and Christopher Reims, Christopher and Cassandra Carlson, and Nicholas Carlson and Kaitlyn Prucker, as well as 10 great nieces and nephews and 1 great great niece. She is predeceased by her parents: James Savage Sr., Marion Saraceno Carlson, and step-father Joseph Carlson.

The family of Sharon would like to extend their gratitude to Hartford Healthcare for the care they provided her in her last few days.

Calling hours will be at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street,  Middletown, CT 06457 on Friday, October 18th from 12:00 to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral  service at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Rockfall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to St. Theresa of Calcutta Parish, 48 Middlesex Ave, Chester, CT 06412.
