Sharon Archer Hicks, 85, passed away on September 30, 2026.

Sharon was born in Lubec, Maine, to Alma McDonald and Romayne Archer. She was also lovingly raised by her aunt and uncle, Dorothy and Burt Wilcox, alongside their children, Zona, Lawrence, and Stevie. Sharon loved them all dearly and considered them her siblings throughout her life.

Sharon was a loving mother to David (Darlene) McFadden and Joseph (Lisa) Kingsland, as well as a grandmother to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family was one of the greatest joys of her life. Sharon is also predeceased by her baby brother Jeffery.

Sharon retired as the office manager for Dr. Robert Friedman, MD, in Middleboro, Massachusetts. During her many years there, she developed a lasting and meaningful relationship with Dr. Friedman and his wife, Donna, who became special people in her life.

Sharon was blessed with a very special friendship with Linda Colosi, her best friend and confidante. Linda stood by Sharon through some of the difficult times in her adult life. Their friendship grew into a bond like that of sisters, and Sharon loved Linda very much.

Sharon found great joy in creating things with her hands. She loved quilting, sewing, and crocheting, and enjoyed sharing her creativity and handmade creations with the people around her.

More than anything, Sharon loved people. She had a genuine love for those around her and treasured the friendships and relationships she formed throughout her life. Her warmth, kindness, and love for others will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

A grave side service will be held October 15th, 11 a.m. at Clarkside Cemetery in Pembroke ME.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered.
