In Loving Memory of Shari (Dunham) Visconti

Shari (Dunham)Visconti, age 72, passed away on January 28 in hospice with her husband, David Visconti, Sr., by her side and surrounded by the love of her children, who were blessed to spend her final days together as a family. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Shari touched the lives of so many.

Born on December 31, 1952, in Middletown, CT, Shari dedicated her life to caring for her family and helping others feel beautiful—both inside and out.

A gifted and passionate hairdresser, she, along with her husband and daughter Nicole opened their hair salon, Hair Zone, in 1999. As a mother/daughter salon, they created more than just a business; they built a community of clients who became lifelong friends, bringing joy, laughter, and confidence to everyone who walked through their doors.

Shari was the heart of her family, always putting others before herself with love and devotion. She shared 47 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, David, and together they raised three children: Nicole LaTerra (Tony), Stacy Scofield (Josh), and David Visconti Jr. (Amanda). She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Gianna, Vanessa, Taylor, Brooke, Kylie, Alyssa, Emelia, and Addison, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.

She is also survived by her loving siblings: Lori Evans (George), Anthony DeMichele III (Ken), and Joseph Dunham (Marika) and sister-in-law, Paula Sarkisian

Shari is now reunited with those who passed before her, including her parents, Lorraine DeMichele, Anthony DeMichele Jr., and Joseph "Al" Dunham as well as her beloved in-laws, Paul and Alice Visconti.

Shari will be remembered for her radiant smile, unwavering loyalty to her friends and family, especially her two best friends Jeannie Kenefick & Eileen Sheehan who she would talk with every week. She was always the first one on the dance floor—usually grooving to Brickhouse—cosmo in hand, ready to turn any gathering into a party. She loved the thrill of the casino, yearly trips to Aruba, the joy of sharing a great story, and the magic of making everyone around her feel special. Whether she was styling hair, cracking jokes, or simply lighting up a room with her presence, Shari had a way of making life more fun, more vibrant, and more full of love.

Calling hours will be held at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St, Middletown, on Saturday, February 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. A celebration of her life will take place on Sunday, February 16, from 12 to 5 p.m. at the Middletown Elks Lodge, Maynard St., Middletown. In lieu of flowers, the family invites friends and loved ones to wear something purple in honor of Shari's vibrant spirit.

Though she is no longer with us, Shari's love, laughter, and light will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
