Scott Allen Maloney, 48, of New Haven, passed away peacefully at his home.

Born in Middletown, Scott was the beloved son of Warren Maloney and Susan Hunt, both of Middletown.

Scott was proud to be a torch runner for the Special Olympics and an accomplished athlete who competed in bowling, shot put, and running events. He had a lifelong love of Disney, movies, and cruises, which he often enjoyed alongside his mother and aunts. At home, he found joy in watching Star Trek and The Golden Girls.

In addition to his parents, Scott is survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Saint John Church in Middletown, followed by burial in Saint John Cemetery.
