It is with great sadness that we report Sandy A. Cahill's passing on April 2, 2026. Sandy was born on July 6th, 1947 to Frederick Goyette and Helen (Roberts) Goyette.

After graduation from Hartford Public High School, Sandy began her career in the insurance industry at Phoenix Mutual where she met her husband, John. Over the years her dedication and knowledge earned her increased responsibilities. For a number of years, until her retirement, she was a highly respected client representative in major group insurance company field offices in Los Angeles and Boston. In this position, she was responsible for supporting client companies and their employees regarding their coverages and questions and concerns they may have had regarding those coverages. As a result of her expertise and professionalism she often dealt with the insurance company's key clients and brokers. She truly enjoyed this work. After moving to East Hampton, she continued to work on a part-time basis for some time commuting to her Boston office several days a week before finally retiring. These long trips gave her the opportunity to listen to her music, Bon Jovi being her favorite.

Sandy liked to travel. She and John particularly enjoyed their many trips to Aruba, Palm Desert, California and Ogunquit, Maine. She always looked forward to her time sitting in the sun reading a good book and taking long walks along the water and familiar streets.

Sandy had an abiding love of all animals, but especially cats. She cherished the memories of her time with her special pet, Gimlet. She also demonstrated this love through her many years of support for the MetroWest Humane Society.

In addition to her husband of over 55 years, John, Sandy leaves behind her daughter Courtney Gray, grandson Cashel Gray and granddaughter Teagan Gray and a number of nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her dear friends, Barbara Allis, Charrise Chemotti and Roberta Klobuchar.

We would also wish to thank all the staff at Complete Care in Meriden for their kindness in caring for Sandy in her final days.
