Salvatore “Peezy”
Pugliares
Oct 10, 1984 — Sep 5, 2026
Middletown
It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Salvatore “Peezy” Pugliares, 41, of Middletown, Connecticut, on Saturday morning, September 5, 2026.
Born on October 10, 1984, Sal was a devoted husband to his wife, Jessica, and the best father to his two sons, Lorenzo and Nico. His family was, without a doubt, the greatest love of his life.
In addition to his wife and sons, Sal leaves behind his mother, Lucia Malatesta (Lou Seria), and his father, Giuseppe Pugliares (Patricia Pugliares); his beloved younger brother and best friend, Gianpaolo Pugliares (Jessica Bobko-Quintiliano); his beloved nephews, Gianpaolo and Luciano Pugliares; and his loving in-laws, Gerarda and Joseph McIntyre. He also leaves behind a close and loving extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who will forever remember his humor, warmth, generosity, and unmistakable personality.
Sal spent more than 20 years working in the IT department at Jarvis Corporation. While he took great pride in his work, over the last year he made the courageous decision to take a leap of faith and pursue his true passion: entertainment, music, and connecting with people.
What began more than seven years ago as a hobby podcast called 2BeBlunt grew into something much greater. It became a community—a place where like-minded people could speak freely, share knowledge, make friends, laugh, and simply be themselves. When Jesse joined Sal as his co-host, something clicked. Together, they became an unstoppable team, and 2BeBlunt soared. Over the last year, they worked tirelessly to build something they could be proud of and create a legacy that would continue far beyond them.
Sal was happiest behind a microphone. Whether he was being blunt, making people laugh, sharing his thoughts, or making music, he was doing what he loved. Just weeks before his passing, he completed an album—one more piece of himself that he leaves behind for the people who loved him.
But beyond the microphone, beyond the music, and beyond 2BeBlunt, Sal’s world was his family.
He loved his wife and sons fiercely and completely. He loved family hikes, trips to the playground and skate park, wrestling with his boys and nephews, and being there for the little moments that meant everything. He especially loved helping Lorenzo with T-ball. Sal was more than a father—he was an example of what being a dad should be. He was present, playful, protective, loving, and endlessly proud of his boys.
Sal had a way of making people feel seen. He was confident, funny, passionate, and unapologetically himself. He loved hard, laughed loudly, and never seemed afraid to take a chance on something he believed in. The people who knew him will carry countless stories, inside jokes, laughs, and memories of him for the rest of their lives.
During this unimaginable time of sorrow, our family finds comfort in the incredible outpouring of love and support from Sal’s family, friends, and the entire 2BeBlunt community. The impact he had on the people around him is a testament to the life he lived and the person he was.
Sal’s spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.
To honor Sal, we ask that you love each other, make each other laugh, smile often, take chances, follow your dreams, and always be yourself—no matter what.
“One day we’ll go offline, not because there is no Internet, but because our time here is done.”
Rest in peace, Sal. You will be forever missed, eternally loved, and never forgotten. See you on the other side.
