Rudolph "Rudy" F. Marica, 93, of Haddam, husband of the late Helen "Honey" (Kuchyt) Marica, died Monday April 27, 2026 at his home.

He was born in Haddam, son of the late Joseph and Frances (Dlouhy) Marica, Sr. Rudy was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the US Army. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft as a Lead Man.

Rudy is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Marica and his wife Lauren of Jacksonville, NC, and Joseph Marica of Higganum, brother, Joseph Marica, Jr., three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen and daughter, Lori Daniels; brother, Joseph F. Marica, Jr. and his granddaughter, Megan Coleman.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday (May 12th) from 5 to 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Burial with military honors will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday (May 14th) at Burr Cemetery, Higganum. Those who wish may send memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
