Rudolph G. Ertl (Rudy), 79, passed away peacefully in his sleep, August 11, 2023 at John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington after a period of declining health. Born in New Britain, CT to the late Joseph and Anna Ertl, he moved to Kensington, CT 44 years ago. He worked for 30 years at the hospital for special care in the P.T. – O.T. department as an adaptive equipment technician, a job he truly loved.

Rudy is survived by his brother Joseph Ertle; his cherished best friend Paula Bugay and her daughters, Sarah Pawlowski and Laura Bugay-McGrath whom he loved and thought of as his own.

Per his wishes, there will be no services a celebration of Rudy's life will be in the fall. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in his name to any cat rescue charity of the donor's choice.
