Roy E. Brown, 78, of East Haddam, beloved husband of Priscilla (DeGrace) Brown, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024, at Middlesex Hospital. He was born in Tupper Lake, NY, the son of the late Roy J. Brown and Esther (LaFave) Brown. Roy was a graduate of SUNY Maritime College in New York and began his career with distinguished service in the Army Corps of Engineers. He went on to work as a nuclear engineer, contributing to Connecticut Yankee and the University of Connecticut's Department of Nuclear Physics before retiring. Throughout his life, Roy was known for his intellect, dedication, and love for his family and community. Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Derrick and his wife Laura of Cromwell, a sister Nancy of Rochester, NY and a brother Tim Brown of NY. He was predeceased by a son, Todd R. Brown. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec 11, 2024, at 11.a.m. at Biega funeral Home 3 Silver Street Middletown.
