Ronald Dalton Strom, 80, of Haddam, husband of Patricia (Reggazoni) Strom, died Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

He was born in Hartford, the son of the late Paul C. and Laura Annie (Dalton) Strom. Ron was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the US Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany. Prior to his retirement, he was a lineman with Northeast Utilities and a member of IBEW Local #457. He was also a member of the Polish Falcons Nest 519 and the VFW in Old Saybrook.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Dalton Strom and his wife Heather of Higganum, Jason Strom and his wife Susan of North Bay Village, FL; brothers, Paul E. Strom of Higganum and Eugene F. Strom of Haddam; sister, Theresa Custer of East Haddam; grandchildren, Autumn Strom of Winooski, VT, Sadie Strom of Burlington, VT, Scarlett Strom of Higganum, Lily and Colin Strom, both of North Bay Village, FL. Ron also leaves a large extended family including nieces, nephews and in-laws, plus friends who thought they were Stroms.

Ron was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He cherished the time spent with family, especially a day at the pond.

His Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday (May 7th) at 11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church,10 Elm St., Middletown. Burial will be in the State Veterans' Cemetery, Middletown. Friends may call on Tuesday (May 6th) from 4 to 7 PM at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown.
