Robert A. Smith, 85, passed away on July 12, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Born on May 31, 1939, in Hartford, Connecticut, Bob graduated from Durham High School. After serving in the United States Air Force, Bob was employed at Pratt & Whitney of east Hartford, CT.

Bob is survived by life partner George Vanderlaan; ex-wife Pat (Maloy) Smith; children Robin Smith, Penny (& James) Norman, Becky (& Alan) Cuperus, and Mark Smith; grandchildren Raumilya, James, Katie (& Derek), Joshua, and Jessica; great-grandchildren Lily, James, Cicada, Olive, and Clementine. He was preceded in death by his parents Marion and Herbert Smith, stepmother Josephine Smith, brother Gerald Smith, sons Eric and Scott Smith, and son-in-law Donald Smith.
