Robert T. Eason, Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2024, at Waters Edge Health Care in Middletown, CT. He was a resident of Middletown, and a Vietnam War veteran who served his country with honor.
Robert was born in Woburn, Massachusetts, son of the late Robert T. Eason, Sr., and Rose Mary (Flaherty) Eason. He was a former Vice President for Western Union, and a dedicated member of his community, known for his hard work and unwavering commitment to his family and friends.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy M. (Cann) Eason, of Middletown, and his devoted children, son, Robert T. Eason, III, of Middletown, and daughter, Cheryl Eason-Budge and her husband Kevin, also of Middletown. He was the proud grandfather of Caitlin Eason, Chelsea Eason, Jacob Budge, Chloe Budge, and Kadin Eason, as well as the great-grandfather of Noah Eason. Robert is also survived by his sister, Barbara Sartori and her husband John of Massachusetts, and his brother, Richard Eason of Florida. He is predeceased by his parents, as well as his brothers, William Eason and Paul Eason.
Robert will be remembered for his strength, warmth, and dedication to his loved ones. His presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home 3 Silver Street, Middletown on Monday, November 18th form 5 to 6:30pm. A funeral service will be held at 6:30pm. Burial with Military Honors will be held Tuesday, November 19th at 10am at the State Veterans' Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown. Memorial contributions may be sent to The Michael J.
