Robert L. Compagnoni, 69, of Middletown, formerly of Cromwell, died Tuesday August 8, 2023 at Hartford Hospital. He was born and raised in New Britain, the son of John J. and Beatrice (Valvassori) Compagnoni.  He is survived by his family, Peter Compagnoni of Norfolk, Sal & Sonja Didato of East Haddam, Artie DeSalvo (Andrea) of Bristol, and John Kamansky, of Cromwell.

Bob worked as the Supply Clerk at the Rocky Hill Veteran's Hospital for many years, where he had many friends. Bob had a love of cars and fixing them, On nice days you would see him start up his 85 Buick Regal and go for a long ride taking in the air & sunshine. He had a great garden and would share all of his vegetables. He had a wide variety of plants that he loved to watch grow and bloom. Bob liked to cook and always enjoyed a meal with friends, from pancakes to prime rib, he enjoyed it all.

The Funeral Service will be held Thursday (Aug. 17th) at 10 a.m. at the Sgt. John Levitow Healthcare Center Chapel, 287 West St., Rocky Hill. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the chapel. Burial, with military honors, will immediately follow at Colonel Raymond F. Gates Cemetery, Rocky Hill. Those who wish may send memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project.
