Raymond "Ray" E. Wisneski, 93, of Higganum, beloved husband of Felicia (Filewicz) Wisneski, passed away suddenly at home, March 15, 2026. He was born on December 22, 1932, in Middletown, the son of the late Zigment I. and Veronica (Borowicz) Wisneski.

He graduated from Woodrow Wilson where he played semi-pro football, later attended the University of Hartford, and Ward School of Electronics. He was a veteran of the Korean War, where he attained the rank of Sargent, and received the bronze medal. Ray worked at Pratt & Whitney for 33 years as a mechanical engineer, owned and operated Wisneski Realty with his wife Felicia, along with purchasing properties, renovating, and selling with his long-time best friend Robert Berrie. He served on several commissions for the Town of Haddam, was a longtime member of Shriners International, and belonged to several Antique Car Clubs.

In addition to his wife, Ray is survived by his daughters Judith (Marc) Levin of Haddam, Heidi (William) Wrang III of Naples FL, and Jaime (Leroy Holdmeyor) Wisneski; a brother Richard (Susan) Wisneski of Woodstock, CT. Ray has two grandchildren, William Wrang IV of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Catharine Wrang of Boston, MA; and a niece Trina Flaherty.

Ray loved and cherished his family. Ray and Felicia celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in April 2025. Besides his love for his family, he enjoyed taking care of animals, not only his cats but making sure the birds were fed daily. He was the handiest and clever man and used those talents in helping his children with projects and constantly refurbishing and working on his antique cars. He attended the Antique Car Show in Hershey, PA for over 35 years with his wife, and more recently daughters Judith and Jaime. His big heart and willingness to help people will be his lasting legacy.

Visitation will be at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown, on Tuesday, March 24th from 9:30 to 11 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial is private at Calvary Cemetery.
