Raymond Stanley Sajdak Sr., 76, of Middletown, passed away peacefully at his home with his
family by his side on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. Raymond was born in Middletown on September
27, 1945 to the late Stanley and Alice (Binkowski) Sajdak.
After graduating high school, Ray started work with the State of Connecticut Department of
Transportation in which he worked for 40 years before his retirement in 2003. He also was in the
National Guard and was a member of the CT Eagles Club 681.
Ray enjoyed making things with his hands. In his spare time, he loved fiddling with wood and
building things such as benches, shelving, and buffets. He also designed and built several
sheds for him and his kids. He also enjoyed watching his beloved Yankees with his go to beer,
Bud Light.
Ray is survived by his wife Denise of 44 years; his children Raymond Jr. and his wife Michele of
Portland, CT, Jeffrey and his husband John of Bradenton, FL, Sandra Warshaw and her
husband Robert of Portland, CT, his step-daughter Jennifer Romegialli of Middletown and his
grandchildren Jonathan and his wife Emma, Brandon, Brian, Paige and Emma. He is also
survived by his sister-in-law Kathy Chubet and her husband Rick, niece and nephews Tracy
Deegan and her husband Patrick, Steven Way, Kevin and Ryan Chubet, great nephew and
niece Sean and Kelly Deegan.
He was predeceased by his sister Loretta (Sajdak) Hobby and his sister-in-law Donna (Sapio)
Way.
Ray's family would like to thank Middlesex Hospice for their support during his final days. In lieu

His Funeral Liturgy will be held Tuesday July 26th at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Mary of Czestochowa
Church, 41 Hubbard Street, Middletown. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Middletown.
Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown on Monday from 5:00 to
