Raymond Dwyer Gebeau, 68, of East Hampton passed away unexpectedly, at home, on December 3, 2023. Born October 29, 1955, to the late Ernest and Eileen (Dwyer) Gebeau, Raymond grew up in Middletown before moving to East Hampton. Kuhn Employment Opportunities in Meriden, CT employed Raymond for close to 40 years. Upon retiring, Raymond continued to attend Kuhn's senior program. Raymond was proud to be retired. He leaves behind special Kuhn staff Tanya, and Melinda, who had worked with him for years.

Raymond had a mischievous nature and a unique sense of humor; he could not wait to "get one over on you" and then tell you all about how he did it. He loved things that were round, counting numbers, magnifying glasses, flannel shirts, the color red, the Incredible Hulk, chocolate ice cream, baked ziti, and diet coke. Raymond was very fortunate to spend the past 30 years in the care of the many staff from New England Residential Services. He was able to live his best life because of the wonderful staff who encouraged him to make goals for himself and then helped him achieve them. Raymond loved to travel and enjoyed many wonderful vacations going to beaches, Six Flags, Disney World, and an Island cruise. Raymond was especially happy to spend his vacations with his longtime friend and traveling companion Liam Poirier.

Raymond leaves to mourn his passing his roommates Gregg and Paul, Linda Crowley, who was like a second mother to him, his NERS family, his Kuhn family, and Jill Warzecha his dear friend and guardian. Raymond was predeceased by his friend and roommate Joe Sturgeon.

A celebration of Raymond's life will be held January 9,2024 at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown, CT. Calling hours will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Middletown, CT.
