Raymond Tower Cappiello, 50, of Middletown, died Thursday November 17, 2022 at Hartford Hospital.  He was born in Middletown, son of Jim Cappiello and the late MaryLou (Stebbins) Cappiello.  Ray was employed with Charter Oak Utilities as a Heavy Machine Operator.

He had a love of sports and played baseball and softball most of his life.  He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Boston Red Sox. Ray had a way with people especially kids, everyone loved him.

In addition to his father, Jim, he is survived by his son, Damian Cappiello; brother, Brad Cappiello and his wife Shana; sister, Erica Nielsen and her husband Danny; nieces and nephews, Jessa and Alivya Cappiello and Mikayla, Emilee and Derek Nielsen, all of Middletown.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday (Nov. 29 ^th ) from 5 to 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown. Private graveside services will be held in Calvary Cemetery.
