Paul E. Strom Sr., 82, of Higganum, Connecticut, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born January 13, 1943 to the late Paul C and Laura (Dalton) Strom in Hartford. He was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 40 for over 40 years.

Paul's greatest joy was his family. He shared 62 years of marriage with his devoted wife, Joan (Eddy) Strom. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was a proud father to his daughter, Melanie Cannon, and son, Paul Jr. and Kathy (Smith) Strom, and beloved Papa Bear to his grandchildren: Kevin Strom, Michelle Strom, Ian and Halie Torrey, Cade Cannon, Pearce Cannon, and Cassidy Cannon, and great-granddaughter Rae Alixandra Torrey. He was predeceased by his brother Ronald Strom and is survived by his sister-in-law Pat Strom, brother Gene Strom, and sister Teresa Custer.

A wake will be held in his honor on Thursday December 4th 2025, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Biega Funeral Home, Located at 3 Silver St., Middletown. A funeral service will follow on Friday December 5th 2025 will be held at 10:00 am Biega Funeral Home. After the service, he will be laid to rest at Burr Cemetery in Higganum. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
