Nicole Salafia, 66, of Higganum, passed away on Monday December 19, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital.

She was born in Middletown, daughter of the late Nicholas and Rose (Pitruzzello) Salafia. Nicole was employed by the City of Middletown before retiring in 2008. Nicole loved spending time with her grandchildren who were the light of her life. She enjoyed lifting heavy at Crossfit, Aerial Yoga and hiking.

Nicole is survived by her life partner, Sebastian Alessi of Higganum; daughter, Shannon Salafia-Alberto and her husband Michael and 2 grandchildren, Nicolas and Michael of Long Island, NY; sister, Melissa Salafia of Middletown; brother, Anthony Salafia and his wife Milly of Higganum.
