Nicholas F. Greco, 74, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2024, at the West Haven Veterans Administration Medical Center. Born in St. Petersburg, Florida on February 21, 1950, Nick was the loving son of the late Nicholas and Elsie Counter Greco. He was a lifelong resident of Middletown. Nick attended local schools and entered the U.S. Navy in 1969. He proudly served on the USS England in Long Beach, CA. He was previously employed by True Value and NAPA Auto Parts in Middletown. Nick was a devout NY Yankees fan. As a young boy, he enjoyed many games at Yankee Stadium with his father. Nick was truly kind and generous to everyone. He had a light-hearted spirit and made many good friends in the places he loved.

Nick leaves behind his sister, Elsie DeToro of Middletown and his brother, Gary Greco and wife, Mary of Northford, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Alan Greco and brother-in-law, Donald DeToro.

A private burial with military honors will be held at the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown.

Nick's family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to the medical staff and hospice team at the West Haven VA. Their care and compassion were gifts beyond measure. A sincere thank you to Nick's friends, Paul and Rebeca, for their kindness.
