Obituary

Nicholas J. "Nick" DiStefano, 95, beloved husband of the late Agnes (Rybczyk) DiStefano, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Water’s Edge Health and Rehabilitation.

Born in Middletown, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Anthony and Dolores (Telefaro) DiStefano. Prior to his retirement, Nick worked as a skilled plumber for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. A proud veteran, he honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was an active member of the Catholic War Veterans and a devoted communicant of St. Mary of Czestochowa Church in Middletown.

Nick is survived by his loving children: daughter Donna DiStefano of Texas, and sons David DiStefano (Carolyn) of Middletown and Dennis DiStefano ( Donna Jean) of Middletown; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his three brothers, Danny, Patrick, and John DiStefano, and his sister, Marie.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Family and friends may gather prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Connecticut State Veterans' Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown.
