Nellie (Zahacefski) Temelini, 100, of Haddam, wife of the late, Aldo J. Temelini, died peacefully at Chestelm Health and Rehabilitation Center, Moodus CT, on Friday, November 8, 2024. Nellie was predeceased by her parents and four brother's and four sister's.
Nellie was born in Salem, Connecticut, daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary (Zahotski) Zahacefski. Prior to her retirement, Nellie was the owner of the Pilot House Hot Dog Stand in Haddam for over 50 years. Nellie was known for her infamous homemade relish, her kindness, and infectious smile. Generation after Generation would come from all over to visit the Pilot House. She was an active member of Saint Peter's Church. She was a member of the Haddam Senior Center which she enjoyed many trips around New England. She also traveled to Dominican Republic, Japan, and Spain. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her Family, Friends, and her customers sharing stories about the Pilot House.
Nellie is survived by a daughter, Patricia Archer and her husband Robert Archer of Higganum, a son Christopher Temelini of Haddam, three grandchildren, Robert Archer and his wife Sheila of Higganum, Todd Archer and his wife Beverly of Middletown, and Shawn Archer and his wife Sandy of Higganum, thirteen great grandchildren, Bobby Archer, Alex Archer, Madison Archer, Danielle Detoro, Jordan Helmedach, Brandon Archer, Todd Archer, Jr. "TJ", Ava Archer, Elizabeth Chagnon, Jocelyn Archer, Aiden Archer, Jacob Saucier, Dylan Saucier, four great great grandchildren, Willow Archer, Aris Archer, Mila Archer, Keegan Chagnon.

A Funeral Liturgy will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 10:00 am at Saint Peter Church, 30 Saint Peter's Lane, Higganum. A procession will leave Biega Funeral Home promptly at 9:45 am for all who wish to participate. Friends may call on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 5 to 7 pm, at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown. Memorial contributions may be sent to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital.
