Obituary

Nancy (Burr) LePard, 80, of Higganum, wife of Wayne S. LePard, died Wednesday April 12, 2023 at Hartford Hospital.  She was born in Middletown, the daughter of the late Erwin E. Burr, Sr. and Augusta (Miorandi) Burr.

Nancy was a graduate of Middletown High School and retired from Middlesex Mutual as a Billing Supervisor.  She was an active parishioner of St. James Episcopal Church in Higganum and served as President of the Higganum Cemetery Association for many years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Brian LePard and Cindy (LePard) Landino; grandchildren, Alexander, Annemarie, Nicole and Erin; all of Higganum.  She was predeceased by her brother, Erwin E. Burr, Jr.

Nancy's pride in her grandchildren was immeasurable and she was engaged in their daily lives providing love and guidance they will cherish forever.  Nancy was an accomplished baker and made the best lemon meringue pie ever!  She loved spending time with her family and was passionate about helping and caring for anyone in need.

She will be deeply missed by all the lives she touched with her kindness and generosity.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 18 th at 11a.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, 501 Killingworth Road, Higganum.  Burial will be in Burr Cemetery, Higganum.  Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m.
