Max Loheide, 31 of Durham, beloved husband of Joanna (Bascom) Loheide, died Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Hartford Hospital surrounded by family and friends after a short battle with cancer.

Max was born in Huntington, NY, son of Kenneth and Birgit (Larsson) Loheide of Durham, CT.  Max was a 2009 graduate of Coginchaug High School.  He was recently employed with WI Clark, a John Deere dealership. Max and Joanna spent their time together for the last ten years enjoying dinner together at their favorite sushi restaurant, riding their motorcycles, boating on the Connecticut River, and taking trips to Lake Placid, NY where they got married in 2020.  Max is also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law Christine and Richard Bascom of Durham, CT, sisters-in-law Jenna Bascom and Caryn Oberstein of Tarrytown, NY, as well as brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jason and Lindsay Bascom and two nephews James and Charlie of Plymouth, MA, and is also survived by family in Sweden.

Max will be greatly missed by their two dogs Maple and Bear and their cat Domino, as well as their great group of best friends.
