Matthew Alan Morrill, 43, of Higganum, passed away on Wednesday April 9, 2025 at Hartford Hospital. He was born in New Haven, son of Timothy and Margaret "Peggy" (Jordan) Morrill of Higganum.

Matt was a graduate of Haddam Killingworth High School, class of 2000. He later earned his Bachelor's degree from University of Connecticut and Master's degree from University of North Carolina. He was currently employed as a financial advisor with Barnum Financial. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and a Mason with the Masonic Granite Lodge No 119 in Haddam. Matt also an avid Red Sox and NY Giants fan.

In addition to his parents. Matt is survived by his sister Catherine Morrill (Corey Walker) of Putney, VT, niece, Scarlet Mae Walker and nephew Sebouh Morrill Walker.

Funeral services are private, and burial will be at the convenience of his family in Cypress Cemetery, Westbrook.  There are no calling hours. Those who wish may send memorial contributions to the ASPCA in memory of Matthew ( https://secure.aspca.org/ ).
