Matthew P. Glidden, 39, of Wallingford, died Thursday December 8, 2023 at his home. He was born in Bridgeport, son of Alan Glidden of Clearwater, FL, and Deborah Phillips of Wallingford. Matthew was a graduate of Sheehan High School and most recently a salesman for Alcraft Inc. in North Haven.

Matthew is survived by his father, Alan and his wife June of Clearwater, FL, her children, Rob Ottaviano and Lisa Arett; his mother, Deborah Phillips of Wallingford; brother, Michael Glidden (Shauna) of Wallingford; nieces and nephew, Eleanor and Jessica Glidden and Robert Simon; aunts and uncles, Linda Levitsky, Carol Smith, Beverly Steadman, Brian Glidden, Cynthia Mahmud, Thomas Phillips, Martin Phillips, Eleanor Spitzer, and James Phillips; several cousins; his girlfriend, Hannah Disereits and his beloved cat, Molly.

Matt was a gentle soul with a beautiful smile. His favorite sport was hockey. Matt loved to go to hockey games when he visited his father in Florida. He loved animals and was passionate about rescuing them. Matt loved our rescue dog Sam and the cat he rescued a few years ago who he named Molly.
