Mary Elizabeth. Stamm, 88, of Middletown, formerly of Rockfall, wife of the late Frederick Stamm, Jr., passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Middlesex Hospital. She was born in Middletown, daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth (Maloney) Cunningham. Mary was a devout catholic and was a member of the Ladies Guild at St. Mary Church in Portland.

Mary is survived by her children, daughter Kathleen P. Scovill, Henry F. Peterson and his wife Nancy of OK, Harold S. Peterson, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Middletown, brother, Joseph Cunningham of Middlefield, sister, Sharon Oldham of Middletown, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick; son-in-law, Kenneth Scovill Sr and sister, Patricia Baldyga and Great grandson Mckenzie Scovill

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
