Mary Ellen Scranton, 76, of Middletown, died Saturday, April 8, 2023, at her home. Mary Ellen was born in Middletown, daughter of the late Frank and Ella (Bailey) Scranton.

Prior to her retirement, was employed as a Material Handler for 35 years with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. She also worked as the safety officer for the Local 700 IAM. Mary Ellen was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Homemaker Extension Service of the University of Kentucky.

Mary Ellen is survived by two sons, Matthew Wilson and his wife Lisa of Cromwell, Victor Rollka III and his wife Stacey of Middletown, three daughters, Kimberly W. Doolittle and her husband Kevin of East Haddam, Ella Hebert of Canterbury, Victoria Lawhorn and her husband Allen, of Grayson, KY, nine grandchildren one great-grandchild and many friends. She was predeceased by a sister Gail Bacon and a granddaughter, Ashley Brand.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 14 ^th at 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown. Friends may call prior to the service from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be held Saturday, April 15 ^th at 9:30 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery, Bow Lane, Middletown.
