Mary White (Tredennick) Gould, 77, of Berlin, wife of the late J. Spencer Gould, died Tuesday November 1, 2022 at her home.

She was born in Hartford, the daughter of the late Edward Coe and Alison (Alexander) Tredennick.  Mary was a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University with her teacher's degree, and taught art education for years in the Meriden and Wallingford public school systems. She later earned a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies at Wesleyan University and continued to study art in Florence, Italy, and at the School of The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

She is survived by her sisters, Annie Cleary of Osterville, MA and Alexandra Coe Barakos and her husband James of Wallingford; brother, Stephen Tredennick of Berlin; several nieces and nephews; step children, Douglas and Jeffrey Gould, and Deborah Gould (deceased).  She was predeceased by her sister, Alison "Nicky' Doyle and brother, Mark Tredennick.

Mary was a lifelong patron of the arts, supporting the new Britain Museum of American Art and the Meriden Arts and Crafts Associate (Gallery 53). She made lifelong friendships through, and loved being a member of the Mountain Laurel Ski Club, the First Church in Middletown, and the Meriden and New Britain Garden Clubs. Mary developed an early passion for skiing, and enjoyed traveling all over the world to do so with Spencer and her ski club pals. Later in life, she joined the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in New Britain and found she had a knack and a fiery passion for competitive dance.

Mary's generosity, belief in service to her communities, and sense of adventure leave an unforgettable trail of memories with those lucky enough to have called her friend or family.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 10th at First Church of Christ, 190 Court St., Middletown.  Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden.
