Obituary

Martin A. Dreaher, 65, of Middletown, beloved husband of Patricia (Saflicki) Dreaher, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday September 9, 2024, at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Middletown, son of the late Walter J. and Annie Marie (Juliano) Dreaher. He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and attended SCSU. Martin retired after 37 years from Pratt & Whitney.  He was a member of the Polish Falcons.  He coached CYO basketball for 30 years. He was an avid collector of sports cards and memorabilia.  He always enjoyed following his favorite sports teams, the RedSox, UConn, and the Lakers. He was beloved by all.

Martin is survived by his wife Patricia; son, Jonathan Dreaher of Middletown; daughter, Heather Dreaher of Woburn, MA, brothers, Mark Dreaher of Montreal, Canada, Carl Dreaher and his wife Cynthia of Middletown, his nephew Christopher Dreaher and great nephew Nash Dreaher of Meriden, his mother in law Romayne Saflicki and sister in law Linda Ruffino of Middletown.

Visitation will be held on Saturday September 21st from 12 to 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Those who wish may send memorial contributions to the Connecticut Humane Society Animal shelter in Newington, CT.
