Marsha Brielmann, 73, of Haddam, beloved wife of Glenn Brielmann, passed away on November 17, 2023 at her home after battling pancreatic cancer for eight months. In her final days, Marsha was surrounded by her closest family and friends. She was born in Harford, daughter of the late Arthur and June (Shackett) Clinton.
Marsha was a cherished preschool teacher at the Haddam Cooperative Nursery School for over 47 years. On top of the impact, she had on so many of the town's youth, Marsha dedicated her life to her community in countless ways. She was passionately involved with Haddam Women's Club, St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, book club, and was the first to volunteer to help those in need, opening her home and heart to people and animals of all kinds. Marsha also enjoyed camping, going to the beach, shopping, reading, spending summer days by the pool, and enjoying as much time as possible with her daughters and grandchildren.
Marsha is survived by her husband, Glenn, daughters, Marci Marciniec (Rob) of Haddam, Shanna Lisitano (Sean) of Cromwell, Elizabeth Kormos (Dan) of Moodus, Alexandra Stackhouse (Dakota) of Perry, NY, grandchildren, Zachary, Nathan, Abigail, Gabriel, Kaden, Camryn, Brylee, Levi, Isla, Rylin, Skylar, and her brother, Jeffrey Clinton (Renee) of Old Saybrook. She was predeceased by her daughter, Amanda Lisitano.
Calling hours will be on Monday, November 20th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 21st at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 31 Main St. East Haddam. Burial will follow at Burr District Cemetery, Higganum. Those who wish may send memorial contributions to Haddam Cooperative Nursery School, St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, or Ray of Light Farm.
