Marjorie Schukoske, 85, of Middletown, passed on Thursday January 22, 2026, after many months in a hospice facility.

Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Soltys) Hood. Marjorie worked briefly for the State Comptroller's Office before becoming a stay-at-home mother- her most cherished role. In 1976, she became the bookkeeper for her husband's business, Paul's Auto Body, where she dedicated herself until her retirement in 2014.

She is survived by her sons, James Anton Schukoske and his wife Barbara of Middletown, and Paul Louis Schukoske, Jr. and his wife Michelle of Portland. She was predeceased by her husband Paul, and her brother John "Hank" Hood.

Marjorie had a quiet but deep fondness for her home, her cats, her gardens, and the simple beauty of hearts - small symbols that brought her joy.

A graveside service will be held on February 14, at 11:00 am at Calvary Cemetery in Middletown.
