Marcy D. (Johnson) Brusseau, 60, of Wallingford, formerly of Portland, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday November 4, 2023, at Yale New Haven Hospital.

She was born in Middletown, the daughter of the late David E. and Betty (Burgess) Johnson. Marcy was currently a certified nursing assistant at Masonicare in Wallingford, Marcy had been a certified nursing assistant for more than 20 years. Her compassion for others was immeasurable.

She is survived by her daughters, Ashley Manzone and her husband George of Winsted, Samantha Ciquera and her husband Anthony of Burlington; son, Scott Brusseau and his wife Kiersten of Wallingford; and her beloved grandchildren, Antonio, Ceaser, Cash, Kinley, Gianna, and Riley. She was predeceased by a brother, David Johnson. Marcy also leaves behind 3 nieces whom she loved dearly: Shannon Kauffman Abbott, Brandy Kauffman, and Stephanie Kauffman Feitel.

Marcy loved nothing more than being with her grandkids and spending time with her family. Marcy's children and grandchildren were her world. She loved taking care of people, especially her residents at work. Everyone that knew her would describe her as selfless, kind and with a heart of gold. Marcy was known and loved by so many, to know her was to love her. To say she will be missed is an understatement. Mom, you are now reunited with grandma, grandpa, David and Chris. Until we meet again.

Visitation will be held on Thursday (Nov. 9th) from 5 to 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Burial will be at the convenience of her family.
