Madeline Jean "Mitzi" Murphy, age 87, of Middletown, passed away peacefully in Middletown. She was born May 30, 1938 in Hartford, CT. Her parents were James Carroll and Laura (Czarnota) Carroll.

Mitzi found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved gardening, dancing, listening to music, and shopping and she embraced these interests with enthusiasm and style. Her kindness, sense of fun, and gentle spirit will be fondly remembered by those who knew and loved her.

Madeline attended Buckley High School in Hartford, CT before moving to Killingworth, CT where she then attended Hand High School in Madison, CT. Madeline worked for 27 years at Parisians in Cromwell, CT.

She was predeceased by her beloved son James Murphy, and sisters Phyllis Bonk, Julia Renck, Laura Liszka and her partner of 30 years John Malinka.

She is survived by her family including her devoted daughter Kelley Sadosky and husband Vinny of Essex, CT, her son Terrence Murphy and partner MJ of Ruskin, FL, and granddaughter Alexis Funk and her husband Garrett of Meridian, ID, sister Janet Adamczyk and husband Ed of Killingworth, CT, several nieces and nephews, all her memories will be cherished.

Her family is deeply grateful to the Bridge Infusion Center in Hartford, CT. Christine and Diane's patience, warmth and gentle care for years brought much comfort to Madeline. In addition, the family wishes to thank Tiny and Nicky for their loving homecare and kindness shown to Madeline.
